Plan Group were invited to take part in a Welcome to Country and a Smoking Ceremony which was organised by our Victorian Government client at their Mount Rowan site before construction works commence.

Wadawurrung People use gum leaves and/or cherry balart, placed over embers in a tarnook to produce smoke. During a Smoking Ceremony, they invite the spirit of their Ancestors to aid them on their journey to cleanse, heal, promote new life as well as ward off bad spirits. A truly wonderful experience to witness.
